    Dan has been working in carpentry in Northwestern Vermont for over two decades. He brings a unique style of problem solving, efficiency, and quality to projects. From General Contracting to Custom Cabinetry, his acute eye for detail ensures all projects are effectively completed. When not working, Dan is adventuring near or on Lake Champlain with his wife, young son and twin daughters.

    Blaine’s detail oriented and quality work is invaluable to our projects. He is constantly building his skill and interest in the trade. In his spare time he is an amazing baker and accomplished cyclist.

Why “Skipjack”?

The name “Skipjack” is inspired by two of our founder Dan’s passions: sailing and traditional boats. Among his collection of vintage sailboats, there’s a Skipjack—a hardworking, classic oyster fishing boat still in use today in the Chesapeake Bay area. While oystering isn’t a tradition in Vermont, the Skipjack’s reliability, craftsmanship, and durability are qualities that we aim to bring to every project we complete as a Vermont general contractor.
